What are you going to do with your shoes?
In 2014, a young girl, Audrey, was offered a new pair of shoes by her track teammate, Kira. The shoes were too small for Audrey. The girls quickly realized they were each outgrowing shoes that still had plenty of miles in them. Their track coach, Coach Richards, told them that there were plenty of kids and teens that could not afford new shoes. So, the girls decided to start collecting athletic shoes--and ReUse Your Shoes began. Sixth grade girls from Mayfield Junior School soon joined them, and together they are making a difference for other young athletes across the United States and around the world. Each girl has made ReUse Your Shoes stronger and more successful by collecting shoes and spreading the word in different clubs, schools and sports they play.
Like a baton is passed forward in track, ReUse Your Shoes wants to pass your shoes forward to others.
